Ashley's Approach

Ashley Grey is the photographer behind Rolling Rivers Photography, based in the Hudson Valley and documenting weddings and elopements throughout New York, New England, and beyond. Drawn to places that feel wild, quiet, and meaningful, she photographs celebrations wherever they unfold, from intimate hometown gatherings to destination weddings along distant coastlines and mountains.

Her work blends documentary storytelling with a refined editorial perspective, capturing not just how a wedding day looks, but how it truly feels. Ashley focuses on the in-between moments; the laughter, stillness, and fleeting glances that make a day unforgettable.

Through Rolling Rivers Photography, Ashley creates photographs that preserve not just the events of a wedding day, but the experience of it — images meant to transport couples back to those moments for decades to come.

ARE WE A PERFECT MATCH?

A QUICK VIBE CHECK

You want your wedding to feel less like a production and more like the best dinner party of your life. Your favorite people are together, the drinks are flowing, the music is loud, and you’re fully present for every part of it.

You care about style and thoughtful details, but perfection isn’t the goal. Connection is. You want photographs that feel beautiful and elevated while still looking like the two of you. You’re drawn to real emotion, effortless portraits, and all the unscripted moments that make your day completely your own.

You’re warm, sentimental, and down for a little adventure. You’ll trust me when the light is too good to ignore, laugh when the wind has other plans for your veil, and happily sneak away for a few quiet portraits before heading right back to the dance floor.

You treat your vendors like people, love your people fiercely, and want every guest to feel welcomed and celebrated. You appreciate someone who can give gentle direction, bring a calming presence, laugh alongside you, and know exactly when to step back and let the moment happen.

If you care more about how your wedding feels than making everything look perfectly polished, I think we’ll get along beautifully.
